FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before refinishing your kitchen cabinets.

How long does cabinet refinishing take?+

Most kitchens are completed in 4–7 working days. Doors are finished off-site in our spray shop, so your kitchen stays usable for most of the project.

How much does it cost compared to new cabinets?+

Refinishing typically costs a fraction of full replacement — often 50–70% less — with no demolition and far less disruption.

Will the finish chip or peel?+

We use thorough cleaning, sanding, bonding primers and premium catalyzed or urethane-modified topcoats built for daily kitchen use.

Can you refinish laminate or thermofoil cabinets?+

Many laminate surfaces can be refinished with specialized primers. Peeling thermofoil usually needs to be removed first — we will assess it during your free estimate.

Do I need to empty my cabinets?+

Yes, please clear the cabinets before we start. We protect counters, floors and appliances throughout the job.

Is there a warranty?+

Yes. Every project is backed by our written workmanship warranty — ask us for details during your consultation.

What areas do you serve?+

We serve Halifax, Dartmouth, Bedford, Sackville and surrounding communities across Nova Scotia.
